Attention all current Haven STC students:
A reminder that SHAHS semester one ends on Friday, January 10, 2025, and semester two starts on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Please be advised that STC semester one ends on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, and semester two starts on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Therefore, any Haven student heading to STC for semester two should turn in their Chromebook and charger to the Tech dept on or before January 10, 2025. Those students returning from STC will have laptops in their respective homerooms for January 15, 2025.
If there is a change in these dates due to weather, more information will be communicated to all students.

We are very proud to announce that Senior Anna Schaeffer was chosen as the 2024-2025 Female Scholar Athlete from Schuylkill Haven. Anna will represent our school at the Schuylkill County Women’s Athletic Association banquet in May. Congratulations to Anna for all of her hard work in the classroom, on the trails, on the track, and on the court.
SHAHS would like to recognize junior TJ Adams. He is this year’s recipient of the Peter R. Marsh Foundation’s Silent Servant Scholarship Award. This scholarship is awarded to a student who displays exceptional, behavioral kindness, and who values empathy, compassion, and community service. Congratulations, TJ!
AP Environmental Science students visited Honey Brook Farm to learn about agricultural practices and sustainable farming. Students learned about the challenges growing crops during a drought, ways to manage animal grazing to prevent overgrazing, pest prevention, and environmental laws and regulations. Thank you to Honey Brook Farm for taking the time to work with our students.

Freshmen students Jaiden Kocher, Vanessa Bildheiser, and Mina Barket were selected as All American Cheerleaders at the UCA Cheer Camp held in June, which gave them the exciting opportunity to march in Thursday’s 6abc Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia and perform a dance routine on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum.

Anatomy & Physiology Honors Classes with Mrs. Schwenk and Senior Science Classes with Miss Jones travelled to Eastern State Penitentiary and the College of Physicians Mutter Museum in Philadelphia. At Eastern State, America's most historic prison, students had a behind the scenes tour of the infirmary, learning about medical treatments and spread of prison illness and disease, while getting a new perspective of prison life throughout the tour of the prison. At the Mutter Museum, they were engaged in the mysteries and beauty of the human body, the history of diagnosis and treatment of disease, past medical treatments and discovered medical anomalies.
