Brandon Schaeffer, a Schuylkill Haven graduate and current professional baseball player for the Seattle Mariners organization, visited Miss Cresswell's Coaching Youth Sports class today to share his inspiring journey. He spoke candidly about his pursuit of a professional baseball career, detailing how he transitioned from high school to a junior college before ultimately landing at the University of North Carolina. His dedication and relentless pursuit of chasing his dreams paid off when he signed a contract with the MLB. Brandon did an awesome job motivating the young athletes in the class to never be afraid to chase their dreams.


October 16, 2024, Schuylkill Haven student ambassadors attended the Youth Summit Community Volunteer Fair. Students visited local organizations who had booths set up in the Fairlane Village Mall. High school students interviewed attendees acquiring many different ideas on volunteer opportunities in Schuylkill County, which will benefit the school as well as the local community.

Rainbow Trout Eggs have once again returned to Mrs. Schwenk's room as part of the PA Fish and Boat Commission's PA Trout in the Classroom Program, an interdisciplinary environmental program that examines impacts, management, and protection of PA's watersheds and coldwater resources.
The eggs will be raised from eggs to fingerlings and then released in April during the annual Trout Release and Environment Day. Trout Committee Officers Blake Rossi, Matt Angelo, Cali Stank and Alyvia Trostle are seen assisting with acclimating the eggs to the egg baskets in their temporary 50 gallon aquarium home. Chris George and Allie Benulis are also officers. Trout Committee members from all grade levels will be assisting with the care of the aquarium and eggs during the next few months.

The Lady Canes' Volleyball Team will be hosting their annual Pink Out game on Tuesday, October 10th.


After a difficult day on the course, the Hurricanes came up a little short of their District Championship team goal. Although the outcome was disappointing, the Hurricanes had an incredible season, and have a bright future. On the individual level, Talan Spittler completed a tough round in 6th place, earning a trip to the State Championships at Penn State! Congratulations Talan!

Today we kicked off Spirit week in style with a fabulous showdown of "Barbie vs Oppenheimer"


Our Lady Canes Volleyball team is having their second theme night tonight, Monday, September 25 and the theme will be Hawaiian/ Luau.
The JV game starts at 5:30pm which means varsity will start somewhere around 6:30pm; all games will be played in the CACL Center.


It's that time of year again..... Spirit Week 2023 !!
Dress up in the respective theme and have some fun as we head towards Homecoming next Friday.
