Yesterday 5th grade students who qualified for the December celebration participated in various activities such as Christmas bingo, charades, Christmas Headbands game, and Elf employee of the month. We are proud of our fifth graders for their hard work and for making good choices. Group photo is of students who had zero highlights for the month of December

The residents enjoyed a holiday sing along with our chorus officers. They sang Jingle Bell Rock, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and many more holiday favorites! Happy holidays to all!

A special thanks to our local volunteer firefighters from Rainbow Hose, Schuylkill Hose, and Liberty Fire Company for taking time to educate our students. What an amazing experience for our students as they participated in hands on experiences for Fire Safety Day. Students toured the fire trucks, talked with the firefighters, and experienced a "smoke room".

Thank you to Jill Grickis and “42”, A Sustainably Kind Clothing Company! “42” has donated over 40 coats to any student in need in all three of our buildings. Mrs. Horbal and Mrs. McDonald, along with some of our middle school students helped organize and deliver. If your child needs a coat for this winter, there are coats available in each building…ask in the guidance office if needed.

Although it was our last week of the SHAMS Summer ACHIEVE Program, it certainly wasn’t the least (boring). Our Achievers enjoyed the Splatter Room at Brushstrokes, tie dyed shirts, painted pottery, and played Minute-to-Win It games to name a few activities. We ended the week with a visit from our friends at North Schuylkill and St. Clair as we hosted The Brain Show in our Auditorium. Everyone joined in the fun of the trivia game, enjoying the questions, songs, and dances. Unfortunately, all good things come to end, this includes our ACHIEVE Program for the year. Please stay tuned for the SHAMS Before and After-school Program for the 2023-2024 school year. Registration information will be available in September!
