We will never forget !! ❤️🇺🇸
To honor the heroes and those whose lives were impacted by the events that took place on Sept. 11th, 2001, Mrs Kluge’s 5th grade social studies classes created a remembrance chain with messages of hope and support that “We will never forget !” The chain is hanging in our 5th grade hallway. They also were learning about primary sources and conducted interviews asking questions to someone who was alive and had memories of the events that took place that day. In Humanities, students learned about the story of Welles Crowler and then wrote about what a hero is to them . Welle’s story was turned in a children’s book called the Man in the Red Bandana. 🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️💙

🚀 Grade 6 STEM Spotlight! 🧱✨

Our 6th grade STEM students took on the LEGO Challenge: Rescue Mission! After an earthquake left LEGO Bob stranded on the side of a building, students had to put their engineering minds to work.

Using the Engineering Design Process—focusing on defining the problem and brainstorming creative solutions—teams designed and built devices to rescue LEGO Bob safely. 🦸‍♂️

Hands-on learning + creativity + teamwork = one unforgettable STEM challenge! 💡👏

5th grade students headed to Baseballtown to see the Reading Fightin Phils on May 14th. Six students, Justin Smith, Oliver Bensinger, Devyn Marks, Ailan Barnes, Reagan Farrell, and Leena Steffie, represented our school on the field in the Academic Challenge. Another student, Korbin Tellup, was able to ask a question to three of the Fightin Phils players. Once the field was ready to go, students were able to dance and cheer for the Fightin Phils! A little rain and wind didn’t stop it from being a memorable day for all!

🧪🐸 Exploring Anatomy in Action! 🐸🧪 Mr. Pearson's 7th-grade scientists took their learning to the next level with a hands-on frog dissection! 🧤🔬 After weeks of studying the major organs and systems of the human body, students had the opportunity to explore how frogs share many of the same internal structures. From lungs and livers to hearts and stomachs, this lab helped students compare and contrast human and amphibian anatomy in a memorable, real-world experience. By observing similarities and differences, our young scientists are building a deeper understanding of how organisms are structured and how body systems work together to sustain life. 🌱💡 Swipe through the photos to see science in action — curiosity, teamwork, and discovery on full display!
