The following students represented Schuylkill Haven Area School District in the PMEA District 10 Intermediate Song Fest hosted by Catasaqua High School: Adrianna Grubel and Olivia Kolbe, middle school; Ava Krause, Addison Suprock, and Lillian Tucker, high school. Students participated in a day long rehearsal with 120 other singers from schools across the District 10 region and performed an outstanding concert directed by Mr. Matthew Wehr. Congratulations to these fine musicians on an amazing performance!

Junior Hailey Keppley and Freshman Aisley Jenan had the opportunity to meet with Haven alumna Kayleigh Henninger, a graduate of the Class of 2004, to explore the career of a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). They asked insightful questions about the rigorous education and training required, the challenges and rewards of the profession, and her personal experiences in the field. Kayleigh shared valuable insights about her journey, from nursing school to becoming a CRNA, highlighting the critical role these specialized nurses play in patient care. Thank you, Kayleigh, for taking the time to mentor our students and share your expertise!

Last week the Zwerling Auditorium was filled with the sounds of the 49th Annual Schuylkill County Band. Under the direction of Ms. Carole Lutte students from across the county put on a fabulous concert. A special congratulations for Mr. Brian Shughart on being this years inductee into our Schuylkill County Band Director Hall of Fame. A huge thank you to the Schuylkill Area Community Foundation for helping to provide funding along with the Schuylkill Haven Area School District!

Anatomy and Physiology Honors students recently investigated the ruminant digestive tract of a sheep (multiple stomach compartments like cows, deer, goats, among others) in comparison to that of a monogastric digestive system of a pig (one stomach compartment like humans, dogs, chickens, among others) in their Digestive System studies in Mrs. Schwenk's course.
