Each year the U.S. Department of Education reviews and awards schools nationwide for their Academic Achievement and/or their progress in closing the achievement gap. We are very proud to say that earlier this week the U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, announced Schuylkill Haven Elementary School as one of 353 school buildings nationwide, and one of only 13 schools in Pennsylvania to be designated as a 2023 Blue Ribbon school!
This award is for everyone at the Elementary Center. The Community. Our families that offer support at home and have their child in school and ready to learn each day. Our students who are motivated to give their best effort. Our staff and teachers, whose dedication to our students offer the very best educational experience, each and every day.
The award will officially be given in November in Washington D.C. We are proud to represent Schuylkill Haven Area School District and all of our Haven HEROes!
