SECONDARY SCHOOL COUNSELOR (GRADES 8-12)
The Schuylkill Haven Area School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Secondary School Counselor to serve students in Grades 8–12.

The School Counselor will play a vital role in supporting the academic achievement, personal growth, and future success of students in Grades 8–12. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive academic, career, and social-emotional counseling; guiding students in course selection, academic planning, graduation requirements, and postsecondary pathways; and helping students explore college, career, and other opportunities beyond high school. The School Counselor will collaborate closely with students, families, teachers, administrators, and community partners to identify student needs, address challenges, promote well-being, and ensure students have the guidance and resources necessary to reach their full potential. AUDITORIUM MONITOR (MIDDLE SCHOOL)
The Schuylkill Haven Area School District is currently accepting applications for an Auditorium Monitor in the Middle School beginning the second semester. The individual will be responsible for supervising students and maintaining a safe, respectful, and orderly environment in the auditorium during assigned times, including study halls, assemblies, programs, and other school-related activities. The position requires attentiveness, positive interaction with students, and consistent enforcement of school rules and expectations. Compensation: Substitute rate applies.

Responsibilities:
•     Supervise and monitor groups of students during instructional periods, assemblies, or other assigned times.
•     Maintain order, enforce school rules, and ensure appropriate student behavior.
•     Take attendance and report any absences or behavioral concerns to the main office or designated staff.
•     Provide clear instructions and support to students regarding assignments left by the classroom teacher.
•     Communicate promptly with administration regarding any issues or emergencies.
•     Ensure the auditorium remains clean, organized, and free from disruptions.
•     Assist with seating arrangements and transitions of students entering or leaving the auditorium.
•     Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.

Qualifications:
•     High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
•     Experience working with students preferred.
•     Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•     Ability to maintain student discipline in a calm, consistent, and respectful manner.
•     Dependability and professionalism in carrying out assigned responsibilities.

CAFETERIA AIDE (SUBSTITUTE)
Part-time employment. Prepare and serve food in the school cafeteria with additional responsibilities in the kitchen and service area. Duties include washroom responsibilities, cleaning, setup, and serving as determined by Head Cook. Hourly rate $12.50. Support Application

Middle School Drama Advisor - We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for inspiring students to believe in themselves and teaching them self-expression through our unique drama program.

• Work with the principal to select play.

• Hold auditions to select the acting cast members.

• Produce a script for each chosen cast member.     

• Lead after-school rehearsals and play performances.    

• Collaborate with the technical crew (lighting, curtains, and sound).     

• Create a set and provide props for the performance.

• Work with parents to finalize costumes for cast members.

POOL DIRECTOR:
This position is an hourly position requiring night and weekend work schedules. CPR, AED, and lifeguard certification required. Hourly rate: $15.50.
